Up for auction is a DVD copy of an old Central of Georgia film that was filmed in and around 1955, and later. This film was shot in Georgia and Alabama, including Valley Head, Al., Columbus, Ga., Griffin and Experiment, Ga., East point Ga., Pine Mountian, Ga., etc. Back in the days when Signal Maintainers and track crews still used a fairmont motorcar! Notable is the different segments showing Central's Flamingo passenger trains, the Man O' War, the Nancy Hanks, and also several shots of Central of Georgia's freight trains. T is also a segment including a cab ride on a really old and grown up rail line, inside a CofG Fairbanks Morse engine, location unknown. Also shown is a segment of an old steam powered freight train running on the Wadley Southern. Trains and area around the tower in East point, Ga. are also shown, as well as some various steam train exursions around Georgia, the Southern Railway 4501, some Ga. railroad shots, the last Nancy Hanks train (Single "Tuxedo" F unit with single car), old railroad signals, such as semaphores, grade crossing signals, and target signals, it also pictures the Man O' War running along Pine mountian. Engines featured include RS units, FM, GP's, E and F units, and several steam engines, also many different old freight and passenger cars are shown, as well as several different cabooses.
