The post office is not like UPS or FEDX where they scan the mail at the receipt point and then track it to your door. What the post office does is scan the item when it is delivered (if they choose to) and then you will see that it was delivered. Sometimes they do scan it when you drop it off, but this is rare. If they did scan it at a sorting facility, you see it moving across the USA. But this is very rare.- eBay confuses the buyer with the "tracking number" next to the post offices "delivery confirmation number" when in reality there is not a tracking number. You can ask this at the post office and they will concur. We print labels off the internet using eBay's USPS shipping program and then we drop the packages off at the post office, similar if you were mailing a stamped letter. The post office is supposed to scan it "received" and they do this about 50% of the time. But sometimes they do not scan them.
