T is something sinister in this item, a residue of fear or hopelessness. And pain. It affects others this way, too. When I first got it, maybe six or eight years ago, I kept it in plain sight, a sort of grisly curio. But after some months I began to find the sight of it disturbing. Some nights, especially if I'd had a drink or two, I would sit with the thing and talk to it. When I began to hear it talk back, I put it out of sight. It is such a potent piece that I have been loathe to let it go, but it is time now, past time. I think it should be in a museum dedicated to the history of crime and punishment, if such a place exists . The old rule of the marketplace, caveat emptor, was never intended for such a risk as this item represents; nevertheless, think before you bid. The item is genuine, the sale is final.
