This particular offering is a LARGE 4 FOOT MAJESTIC BALD EAGLE. Notice that he's been fishing and got lucky. His dinner is in his talons. This sculpture is made from a well-seasoned half- log of White pine, it is 48" tall by14" in diameter and weighs 60 lbs. This sculpture was carved with a chainsaw, eyes and fish were carved by hand tools. As with any chainsaw art, it is a one of a kind piece. As the pictures show he would look great greeting your guests .

As always, we only use seasoned logs for our sculptures. Each log of course is unique with its own characteristics (knots, blemishes, drying checks etc) We always do our best to work these features into the sculpture. We cut no live trees for our carvings. With our God given talents, we try to showcase mother nature's precious resource by bringing the most appealing sculpture out of each log that we can. The chainsaw is our main tool through 95% of any carving, with a little final touchup with hand tools (grinders & sanders etc.) Furniture glides are attached for floor protection. A care sheet and Certificate of Authenticity will be included with your purchase. Our custom made brass plate will be attached which reads

Regarding finishes: This year we have burned our carvings with torches for color as usual, but we have also used various expensive oil-based stains and paints to insure that the sculpture will retain its coloration. Then 2 coats of an anti-fungal clear penetrating oil. Finally, we topcoat with several coats of satin Spar Varnish. Regarding shipping and handling, we only charge $10.00 for handling with insurance included. IF THE SHIPPING COMES TO LESS THAN WE HAD CALCULATED (AND IT USUALLY DOES) WE ALWAYS REFUND THE DIFFERENCE TO THE CUSTOMER.
