Chairman Mao Collection of 25 Porcelain Badges. Extremely Rare You are looking at a set of 25 porcelain badges mounted on a red velveteen board containing pictures of Mao throughout his adult life. These badges are very rare due to their age and the fact that they are fragile porcelain. These are Chinese high-fired ceramics which were fired complete with the images in the first firing, making the images an indelible part of the beautiful highly polished glass-like surface of each badge. This extremely rare display is suitable for hanging on a wall or for framing. Each badge has a gold edging on milk-white porcelain and can be individually displayed. This set is not available even on the Chinese E-bay website. Each porcelain badge has an inscription on the back. The individual badges were intended and manufactured as a set, although they may be a subset. The badges are between 60 and 70 mm in diameter. You will probably never see another set like this rare collection again. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SINGLE LOT AT ONE PRICE!Mao Zedong (December 26, 1893 - September 9, 1976) (also known as Mao Tse-tung) was a Chinese Marxist military and political leader, who led the Communist Party of China (CPC) to victory against the Kuomintang (KMT) in the Chinese Civil War, and the People's Republic of China (PRC) from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976.Regarded as one of the most important figures in modern world history, Mao is still a controversial figure today, over thirty years since his death. He has supporters both inside and outside China, who regard Mao as a great revolutionary leader whose thought is the highest expression of Marxism. Supporters within China believe that today's rise of China can be attributed to Mao's leadership.TERMS OF SALE: Winning bidder must respond by email to my notification within 3 business days and payment is expected 10 days after close of auction.
