This Idle Hour Cook Book was written for ALL Models of the Chambers Gas Range. It is to be used with the Model C, B, BZ and all other models with the Oven Heat Control (Thermostat). Pink was the Newest COLOR to be added to the Chambers Range line in 1957. In "THE CHAMBERS RANGER", MR. A.H. Scheffer wrote to his dealers: "The shade of PINK has been selected with great care to offer a Pink color that will BLEND HARMONIOUSLY (never use the word "match") with the pinks of other major appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, etc." The 80+ page book has Operating Instructions and Recipes for all SEVEN different cooking units of the vintage Chambers Range. 1)Speedy Top Burners, 2) In-A-Top Broiler, 3) In-A-Top Griddle, 4)3-Way Oven, 5) Thermowell, 6) Thermobaker and 7) Heat-Miser burner with a brain. The Chambers folks made several changes to the IDLE HOUR Cook Book in its last printing (1958). They updated the look of the lady on the inside cover. She still has her gloves and hat, but I think she is going to the office, instead of to a Ladies Tea. Chambers also added new information about the "Heat-Miser" Burner on the right front, including a "Heat-Miser" Cooking Chart. Remember, This is the ultimate Chambers cookbook. It's recipes are written for All Models from the 1920's up to the late 1950's. The Print Shop
