Veryrare Champagne Velvet tin beer sign circa 1940. This is a self-framed tin lithograph sign with a paperboard backing and measures 19 1/4" wide by 14 1/4" high. The sign is out of a series of 12 and was made by Novelty Workers Union (logo in picture). It is a flat sheet tin with margins folded over card stock backing, with a scene of fisherman in a boat. The sign reads “The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor” at the bottom and below that says “Terre Haute Brewing Company, Inc. Terre Haute Indiana”. It is also artist-signed (Hy Hintermeister) in print in the lower right-hand corner. I have searched and searched and been unable to find another sign like this. I have found others in the series but not one of this particular picture. This sign does have some oxidation marks, scratches and minor staining here and there – mostly around the edges, but is in pretty good shape overall, especially considering its age. The backing of the sign is cardboard and has some bad foxing but does still have original string hanger . Be sure to check out the pictures for condition. Shipping is $16.00 for USPS Priority Mail and delivery confirmation. Thank you for looking and please ask any questions before bidding.
