A beautiful vintage authentic Chanel necklace as photographed. This is a super long classic Double C chain and is very heavy with RUBY AND EMERALD glass inserted beads and baroque pearls. The Baroque pearls are in excellent condition, all capped with movable gold METAL tops that are hand wired into place. There is a stamped intertwined CC signature on a small metal taglocatedon the clasp. The glass beads with casings are very large - measuring 3/4 inches long by 5/8 inches wide. The baroque pearls with caps measure a little more than an inch long. The entire length of the necklace is 72 inches long and hangs (drops) 36 inches from the neck. Can be used as a single chain, doubled, tripled and quadrupled, using the hook clasp. It can also be used as a belt when doubled or tripled depending. This is owned by a local woman who inherited it as well as numerous other beautiful costume jewelry pieces from her mother who lived quite an Auntie Mame life-we will be selling many over the next several months. Although I am not certain of the exact year by piecing together the history and looking at other chanel designs it has components of pieces I have seen from the 1950s and 60s-maybe into the 70s but I don't think it's that late as The tag is hand stamped with the double intwined C not machined. This is a one-of-kind collectable piece with staying power and value and can be worn, adored and will most likely increase in value over time. Questions are welcome.
