In the 70's Ben Wade pipes were manufactured in the Charatan factory. I have seen quite a number of this shape labled as charatans or tinder box Unique, which was also made by Charatan. This pipe smokes well. No rim char. Very light teeth marks on the stem. The chamber is just bigger than I prefer. Very light cake in the bowl. A great cherrywood/poker style. Get a Charatan at a bargin price.Check out my other estate pipes. All will have pictures of the bowls so you can check yourself for burn out. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases.
