Item & Subject-Matter: Antique ca 1900 Turn-of-the-Century Wood-Framed PENCIL-SIGNED AUTOGRAPHED Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944, Artist Illustrator) BREATHTAKINGLY LOVELY Classic "Gibson Girl" Beautiful Lady High Society Girl Portrait Pen & Ink Art Drawing Picture Illustration ***The Pencil Signature is ORIGINAL (the Impression from the pressure of the Pencil Signature can be both FELT - as it is embossed/raised - and VISIBLY SEEN on the reverse side of the Picture). ***There also appear to be a handful of Pencil Marks surrounding the perimeter of this LOVELY LADY'S Upswept Hairdo, with what also looks like a couple of faint erasure/erased Pencil residue visible in a couple of other places on the Image side of the paper Artist: Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944, Artist Illustrator) ***EXCERPTED RESEARCH INFO: " ." Publisher: An attribution in the lower right hand corner reads "Copyright 1900 Life Publishing Company," indicating this Picture was used by/published in their Magazine Format: Imagery ? Pen & Ink; Paper is a sturdy, thick paper board stock Age Period: Antique - ca. 1899/1900 truly "Turn-of-the-Century" ;~) Size/Measurements: Frame measures 10"W x 12 1/4"H. Picture measures 8 1/8"W x 10 1/8"H and is on sturdy, thick paper board stock, with slightly uneven cut borders indicating this picture was cut to fit this Frame Condition: This STUNNING Work of Art remains in EXCELLENT condition, with only noted condition factor to Picture side being a modest vertical discoloration/smudge/dirt line mark on the lower portion beneath the signature and adjacent to the left side of the Copyright info; back side evinces a circular liquid residue mark that does not show through the front side because of the thickness of the paper.
