CHARLES DAWSON ORIGINAL LARGE PHOTOGRAPH KING LEOPALD & PRINCESS DE RETHY 1950 An impressive original photograph by photo journalist, Charles Dawson. Charles Dawson was a Fleet Street photographer, particularly famous for his photograph of the Queen in her coach returning from Parliament which won world-wide acclaim. This is a large photograph measuring 15 x 12 inches approx. and has information to the rear: ‘A Buttonhole for a Royal Husband - During King Leopold's exile from Belgium the Royal Family lived at Pregny, Switzerland, where this charming informal picture was taken, showing Princess de Rethy placing a small flower in her husband's buttonhole.
