This auction is for an exceptional Catawba Valley North Carolina Face Jug made by Charles Lisk of Vale, NC. This Handled Face Jug stands 12 1/4" tall and is a super dark Tobacco Glaze color with beautiful glaze drips running down the front of the jug. The amazing partof this 3 or 4 gallon jug is the exceptional snake coiled around the top of the jug. This piece is wood fired vs electric which brings out a much deeper glaze. I bought the piece about 5 or 6 years ago directly from Charlie at the Hickor sale. Signed by Charlie on the base. As seen in the pictures, the piece is in exceptional condition, no chips or cracks. If you collect Catawba Pottery and don't have one, this will be a great addition. I am adding a flat shipping charge of $15 for shipping and insurance. I will double box the piece.
