Charles Moore (1935-2007) began working at Jugtown in the Seagrove area of North Carolina in the 1950âe(tm)s for Juliana Busbee, making some of his popular chicken figures at that time. More information can be found (including a photo of Charles with some unfired chickens) at the Jugtown Pottery website under âeoeThe Pottersâe section at /potters.htm The Charles Moore item up for auction today is far scarcer than his chicken figures.
