We are delighted to offer this beautiful Enamel on Copper painter by Charles Parthesius. This eye-catching piece depicts a boy fishing at a pond. It looks to be early autumn with the branches bare and the golden light illuminating in the background. This is a small work of art and the total framed piece measures approx. 6” by 5 ½”. The enamel image itself is about 2 ¾” by 2 ¼”.It comes to you in perfect condition with no damage of any kind to the Art. The wood frame is in Excellent vintage condition. There are some small tears to the paper backing. There is an old receipt attached to the back for $90.00, but it is not dated. I believe this piece is from the late 1970s to early 1980’s. Charles Edward Parthesius was born on April 25, 1921, in Maspeth, Queens and died in Lindenhurst, New York on April 19, 1997. Charles Parthesius, Sr., of Lindenhurst, New York, began his successful artistic career as a watercolorist and commercial artist. in the 1960's he was introduced to the medium of enameling. As with many of us, the alluring qualities of glass-fused metal captivated him and turned the direction of his work to the medium of enameling. After several years of established accounts, his business began to flourish, largely due to the quality and popularity of his art enamels. His work could be found across the United States and eventually around the world.... His enemels are owned by many notable celebrities...
