Charles C. Pinckney Autograph Letter Signed "Charles Cotesworth PInckney". Three pages, 7.75" x 10", Charleston, South Carolina, January 9, 1815, Mr. Petit de Villers. Pinckney writes to de Villers seeking help in obtaining the services of a "pettiauger" - a particular style boat of Dutch style, in bringing sugar cane to his plantation.This letter bears the usual fold creases and toning to the paper, with a few closed tears at the edges, otherwise it is in very good condition. Accompanied by a 4.5" x 6" engraved portrait of Pinckney engraved by E. Wellmore from a miniature by Malbone. Grade: 0, Service No.: 0
