A wellmade mid brown wood gentleman's vintage wardrobe from the 1930s. Wood (unknown type). Interior in two tones of wood. Labels in cream with black writing. Lovely details: extendable hanging rack , tie rack on inner side of left door (labelled 'ties'), studs 'pocket' (labelled 'studs') on inner side of right door, shoe rest bar at rear of base of wardrobe, mirrored cupboard (top right) with small round silver handle (). Mirrored cupboard is 17" x 12" with one shelf providing 2 sections (labelled "shirts" and "underwear". Pullout drawer (smooth action) beneath (labelled "collars" and "handkerchiefs"). Shelves below this for "pyjamas" and "sportswear". The key for the cupboard is missing. The left hand cupboard door locks in place at the top with a sliding bolt. At present a small metal bar is used to hold the right door shut (the bar being passed between the two handles). The inside of the cupboard is in good condition, the outside has a few surface defects which a little loving restoration would put right. Width 36" Height 71" Depth 18.5" Collection only. Please note that I am selling this piece on behalf of my father. Two strong people will be needed to lift the item down the stairs as my father cannot be expected to lift anything heavy.
