~ CHARMING OLD 1940's COTTAGE~CABIN BRAIDED SCRAP WOOL RUG ~ This is the second & smaller of two wonderful handmade braided rugs I'm happy to offer for your consideration that came from the same Maine lakeside cottage or "camp"âe¦ charming & imperfect unlike machine made rugs fashioned now! I've been calling this the kitty rug, since my kitten just LOVES to curl up on it & pass out... The wonderful mix includes lots of reds & bluesâe¦ so nice for any primitive décor and I can imagine this in front of a fireplaceâe¦ with your kitty on it! This is also put together well with braids that are nice and uniform & measuring at various sections, are approximately 1" wide throughout. The braids are 99% wool scraps with the exception of the outer 2 braids, but they are the same size & thickness, so you'd have to get down on your knees to notice! I'll be happy to vacuum it before sending, but my photos were taken before cleaning of any kind & taken in the bright sun... the actual colors are in my opinion, much nicer in person! It's nice & clean with no odors & is in what I would consider to be very nice condition for its age. T are a couple of sections w the stitches joining the braids have come undone and some loose, but only evident when you hold the rug upâe¦ when on the floor, you'd never know! Just a bit of wear to a part of the outer braid as you'd expect from a utilitarian piece. A wonderful medium size... 34" round! ~ For your convenience, insurance is optional and will be included at your request ~ Thanks for visiting my auction...
