Charro Rare Brand Piteado Embroided Chaps These chaps has been used by a man as big as 6' tall and 220 lbs. Piteado work is only done in a few states of the 31 States in Mexico. The thread is made from the agave plant. The design is hand drawn on leather, then hand cut in lightly an awl and a wooden bat are used to make the needle holes, then it is hand sewen to make the piteado design. This work is done mostly by men in their homes or shops. This work is very time consuming and this art is very expensive with belts costing several hundred USD. They have a brand embroided on both sides and the front. They are soft and heavy and have only been used to ride in several wedding parties for a few hours each time over the last 30 yrs. or so. 1 charro button was missing and a leather one was made to take its place some years back. They are in very good condition for their age. Chaps with a brand do not come for sale often. They are just given to the next one in the family. Therfore this is a very RARE oportunity for any colector. You can wear them or hang them on the wall near a sombrero or a charro saddle and they enhance your South Western Decor. This is a RARE find.
