IT'S TIME TO START THINKING ABOUT GIFTS! UNIQUE GIFTS THAT YOU CAN ONLY GET ON eBAY!WHAT IS IT? I am selling an assembled VINTAGE BARWARE SET, including a CHASE "GAIETY" chrome-plated COCKTAIL SHAKER with 4 MATCHING GAIETY CUPS, 4 stemmed chrome-plated cups and a REED & BARTON black laminant tray with a PEWTER RIM.The Chase "Gaiety" shaker is marked on the bottom, "PAT. NO. 1,969,386, PAT. NO. 91,179" and "CHASE" with the CHASE CENTAUR LOGO (partially struck). The 4 Chase "Gaiety" cups also have the Centaur Logo with "CHASE U.S.A." The stemmed cups are not marked. The stems look like lathed plastic, so they might be Bakelite. The tray is marked and numbered on the underside of the pewter rim, "REED & BARTON P206." The "Gaiety" is featured in the Visakay Bar Ware Guide and is a staple of any vintage barware collection. HOW BIG IS IT? The shaker is just about 11-1/2 inches tall and 3-3/4 inches in diameter. The "Gaiety" cups are 1-7/8 inches tall and a just over 2-7/8 inches in diameter. The stemmed cups are 4 inches tall, 3 inches in diameter across the top and 2-1/8 inches across the base. The tray is 11-1/2 inches in diameter.WHAT CONDITION IS IT IN? (Please, SEE PHOTOS.) The shaker has surface scratches on the outside, some of which I would describe as moderate.
