Chelsea Ship's Bell BRASS CLOCK US Navy Nautical Maritime item Face marked in Arabic numerals, "CELESEA SHIP'S BELL" Movement marked "Chelsea Sea Clock Co., Boston USA." Serial Number 474301 Case: Brass/Bronze, Body is 6" in dia., 3-1/2" deep, flange ~8". Original Chelsea key is included. This heavy cast brass clock weighs approximately 7 lbs. and the case has some wear, corrosion and age patina, giving it a nice original sea salt appearance. Will just fit into a Priority flat Rate box, but for double boxing or outside the US estimate 12 lbs shipping weight. Condition: Needs repair. Case is dirty and brass is tarnished in some spots. No dents or major scratches. Main key turns but does not wind up. Turned minute hand to test the chimes which seem to be working just fine. This should be an 8-day key wind movement with a ships bell strike; at 12:30 one strike, at 1:00 two strikes, at 1:30 three strikes, at 2:00 four strikes, at 2:30 five strikes, at 3:00 six strikes, at 3:30 seven strikes and at 4:00 eight strikes.
