A GREAT GIFT A wonderful cast brass Chelsea 8 day Chelsea Ships Bell clock. This clock has a 4 in. engraved silvered dial, and is 4 in. deep. The case is made of solid cast brass. The gears and the 11 jewel escape platform in the movement are gold plated. The clock is in great condition, the serial numbers 606456 is stamped on the case which dates it to the 1950's. This clock strikes the 8 bell watch sequence with a nice mello tone. The beauty ring is present and the bezel is of the preferred hinge type. There is also a lever to silence the bell. These are the best ships bell clocks that money can buy a true work of perfection. They are still made being today by the last great American clockmaker Chelsea Clock.
