CHEROKEE INDIAN DOUBLE HANDLED FROG EFFIGY BOWL Description : ESTATE FIND...dated 1750-1830 or earlier..... For your viewing and consideration and up for auction at this time is a beautiful fish effigy bowl which came from a river bank in Tennessee. This fine example of Native American Indian artifact is in mint condition...with no restorations, cracks, chips or repairs of any kind. History states the Indian population was removed from this area to Oklahoma on the famous "Trail of Tears" which would date this lovely pottery piece pre 1830. Done in a stunning red or Terra Cotta color clay it is 4" across the top opening and 3½2" deep with two frog handles. Amazing enough it has a rounded bottom and when set down it wobbles back and forth but sets up straight each time!!
