This is a Cherokee pottery honey or jam pot with matching lid from the estate of a person who owned a store just outside the reservation in Cherokee, NC and carried a lot of Cherokee made items. The pot has "Cherokee 1-11-81" inscribed on the bottom, done prior to glazing. T is an arrow between the word and the date. It is in earth tones of mainly yellows to browns and some red highlights have been added. T are no chips or cracks or other defects that I can find. Shipping insurance is not required but highly suggested. I pack well but cannot be responsible for damage to the item during shipping. Check out my other items !
