I have combined my passion for craftsmanship and my work trade as a glazier to design and fabricate this custom jersey display case. You will not find a nicer case for your prized jersey., guaranteed! This solid cherry case took about 25 man hours to design, fabricate and finish myself. With the exception of the two halogen puck lights and the hinges and lock, I fabricated every part of this case.The interior dimensions are 27" wide, 38 1/2" tall and 5" deep, enough room to hold any jersey. I built the case from solid cherry, and has full dovetail corners. This corner joint is very strong and gives the case character. I finished the case with a coat of linseed oil and two coats of water based polyurethane, these finishes won't give off toxic fumes harmful to your prized jersey.The "backboard" or inside is covered with black suede. The suede compliments the black lights and dark red color of the cherry. The case weighs 50 lbs. not including packaging materials. This glass is ultra clear compared to standard float glass, allows 97% light transmittance compared to 92% for standard glass, more light transmittance equals less glare.
