MAPLE or CHERRY CORNER CABINET Lovely Maple or Cherry corner cabinet up for your bidding. Simple lines of the piece go with any traditional decor - great for a kitchen or dining area. We are remodeling our kitchen and will no longer be able to have this unit in our home - hopefully I will be able to find enough storage to replace this great storage work-horse! I will definitely miss this piece. We bought it at an antique store about 5 years ago for over $900. The cabinet is a warm medium cherry color. Appears to be from the earlier part of the 20th century. It is extremely well-made and heavy. It stores so much! I have multiple heavy cast iron pots and huge serving bowls, trays and platters filling this unit and the shelves are extremely durable. It would also work well for small appliances as the heights of the shelves inside are substantial and deep! Drawer and door pulls are wooden and the hinges are wrought iron (see pics below). The glass appears to be original to the piece and the great part is t is no glazing to hold the panels in place - the interior frames are finished wood and not only maintenance-free, but look great. T are some areas w the finish has worn on this piece as indicated on the pictures, but the wood beneath is fully intact. This can be seen in the pictures as well. It does look fine as it is, but could easily be refinished. T are hooks installed should you like to hang mugs or teacups. This unit breaks down into two pieces and despite its size and measurements, we were able to bring it into our home through a 32 inch doorway. Our ceilings are low, so we did remove the cap, which is in very good condition and can be easily reattached. The unit is two pieces making transport and moving easy (the upper unit sits in a groove on the lower unit, so it is very stable). Measurements : full height (without cap): 90 inches (with cap: 90 7/8 inches) depth (from each corner) 36 1/4. front face length : 42 inches angled front corners : 6 1/4 inches upper cabinet height : 56 5/8 inches lower cabinet height : 33 1/2 inchesIf you would like a footprint schematic of this piece, feel free to email me.
