This is an antique Venetian Chevron (Rosetta) bead made from a 5 layer drawn and molded glass cane, the size is 33mm x 16mm a big size for this type. The layers from the inside out are white, black, red, white, black. This bead is also unusual in that t appear to be 2 extra layers inside the perforation, red and black, in my opinion this is only contamination during manufacture and was never intended to be layers. The condition is very good for this type, these beads are typically found chipped or broken badly, t is wear from use and a little dirt for character, this one has not been cleaned.
