How can you not like this little set? Up for your bid is this unusual, barely used, terrific, Overland Express, Century of Progress wind-up tin train, made by the Hafner Railway Co. A great collectible for the toy train, wind up, or C.O.P. collector. In its original box. Box is rough, but nevertheless is t with its individual sections for the cars intact. Train consists of Engine- 7" length, Tender- 3", Mail Car- 5 1/2", Passenger Car- 5 1/2", and Passenger Car w/canopy end- 5 1/2". Included are 4 straight track pieces-approx. 10 1/4" long each, 6 curves, and one crossover section. Tracks are 2 rail. Don't know a gauge comparison, but outside to outside rail is approx. 1 1/2" width. Wind up works on the rail very well or just on the floor. When ran on the rails, the engine bell rings. All the paint on the cars is beautiful and they are labeled as "Hafner's OVerland Flyer Railways". T is a light bulb for the engine which apparently runs by battery but I don't know what kind or type of battery, so I don't know if it works. Internal workings seem to be t though. Also the same can be said for the end passenger car but it is missing the light bulb, which can be replaced easily. (Like a common flashlight bulb.) If you look at the photos, you can see the great condition of the cars and especially their under bellies, and wheels. They all look to be near mint to mint condition. All couplers are intact and ready to be hooked up. Not too early to think about a new addition for under the Christmas tree this year. Either wrapped or around the tree!! I don't believe you'll be sorry or disappointed. My family has been in the antiques business for almost 40 years and this was tucked away in my parents' stock. It's now time to seriously get rid of it. Very Low Reserve set for such a fantastic item. I have faith the bidders will know what it's worth and bid accordingly. I will include insurance in the shipping of this train. This is reflected in my shipping fee. Hopefully this instills you to have confidence in me. It's also just easier for me to keep track. Bid with confidence as I have a 100% feedback since I signed on in 1998. If you have any questions please email me and I will get back to you a.s.a.p., usually within a 24 hour period. I accept Paypal, money orders, and checks. Payment is due or must be postmarked within 5 days of invoice . If paying by Paypal or m.o.: I try very hard to ship same or next day. By check: Please allow 10 days for clearance. I will keep in touch with you and let you know when item has left me.Thanks for looking and happy ebaying!
