This is an original, vintage Chicago Daily Tribune Newspaper (12 Pages of the 1st Section Only), dated Tuesday, August 7, 1945 . The Atomic Bomb is dropped on Japan! Also, Major Richard I. Bong , 24, the U.S. top air ace of all time with 40 kills (14 more than Eddie Rickenbacker) is killed in a tragic flight accident as his P-80 Jet explodes over Burbank, California. Great portrain of Bong. Ironically, he was sent home early from the Pacific prior to the war's end to get him out of harm's way! Ask all questions before purchasing. I apologize for any glare on the item. If you require any additional photos, please let me know. Thanks for looking! The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
