This is an Adams & Westlake brasstop bell-bottom and the patent dates are too obscure for me to read...t is no RR name on the frame but the extended base globe which stands at 5 1/4" is marked C&MLS RR....the L almost looks like an X but I think they just tried to get a little fancy...if I am reading this right it came from the Chicago & Michigan Lake Shore RR...somehow it found its way to barn in the Lakes Region of NH...condition is excellent...the frame stands true and t is no rust or pitting...the only apology is a small ding at the brass top...the globe has no cracks...the C&MLS RR ran only about 170 miles so I think this is anice find...feel free to email me with any questions.
