This is a Chicago & North Western Engineering Department track chart dated 2/28/86. This chart covers the Northern Division which covered all routes north, south, east and west out of St. Paul, MN as well as Rapid City to Butler, Sioux City to Duluth via St. Paul, & St. Paul to Mason City. Charts were used by personnel in Engineering and Operations and provided in a condensed form the physical layout of the railroad mile by mile. It shows grades, curves and radius, culverts, signals, highway crossings, the whole mess! The book is over an inch thick and is bound with a metal comb. T are 247 regular pages as well as over 40 pages of yard track diagrams in the book. I will upload a picture tomorrow.
This copy is in good condition however the green plastic cover is scuffed and some of the interior pages, especially along the bottom edge are dirty. This was a field-used copy and, as such, it is an original and quite collectible and not one of the many photocopies you see floating out in the market today.
