This badge is in great condition and is very rare. Alittle hisory about the badge. The Palmer House in Chicago opened on September 26, 1871, but burned down just thirteen days later on October 9, 1871 in the Great Chicago Fire. It stayed open under the Palmer House name until December 1945 when Conrad Hilton bought the Palmer House for $20 million and then it was named the Palmer House Hilton.
