You are bidding on a Smaller (1 1/2") Medallion with a chrisp image of a man with the words INDUSTRY on the right side and the word RESEARCH on the left. The medal has the dates 1833 and 1833. On the back it has a compass point with N toward the left. Great strong images on both sides. On back it says, "International exposition chicago 1933 a century of progress". See our other auction and there is on with a smaller coin. This one is 1 1/2" in diameter. It has a Art Deco look to it. And there is a picture and a description on the inside cover of this display box which is a 2.5 x 2.5 cardboard flip holder. case that beautifully hold the medallion. Official Bronze Medallion by Artist and Sculptor Emil Robert Zettler. His name is on the back. Notice we have a bigger one listed on eBay.
