IS AN ANTIQUE, CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR KEROSENE OIL LAMP WITH A CRYSTAL (COLORLESS), CHICAGO GLASS FONT. THE CHICAGO GLASS FONT WAS PRODUCED BY UNITED STATES GLASS COMPANY FOR THE CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR IN 1893.

THIS FINE DETAILED, GLASS KEROSENE OIL LAMP FONT GLOWS AN INTENSE YELLOW UNDER BLACK LIGHT. IT HAS A BRASS COLLAR WITH A BRASS FLANGE, BOTH HAVING A BEAUTIFUL OLD PATINA. IT HAS A NO. 2 EAGLE BRASS BURNER. EMBOSSED ON THE "WICK WHEEL" IS "P & A. MFG., CO., WATERBURY, CONN., MADE IN U.S.A."

THE FONT IS MOUNTED ON A BRASS "CUP" ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FONT WHICH IN TURN IS CONNECTED VIA METAL CENTER ROD TO A ROUND, PRESSED BRASS STEM COLUMN AND A SQUARE IRON BASE. THE COLUMN HAS A VERY ORNATE PRESSED DESIGN OF FLORALS, BEADING AND A BASKET WEAVE WHICH HAS TAKEN ON A VERY INTRIGUING DARK HIGHLIGHTING IN THE FOLDS AND RECESSES OF THE DESIGN.

THE COLUMN HAS A PRESSED BRASS CAP AT ITS TOP AND A PRESSED BRASS COLLAR AT ITS BASE. BOTH PARTS HAVE A SIMILAR PRESSED DESIGN OF ROUNDED VERTICAL AND SLANTED BARS THAT ARE INTERSPERSED WITH ROWS OF FINE DETAILED BEADING.

THE SQUARE TIERED IRON BASE SHOWS LOSS OF ITS ORIGINAL BLACK PAINT. THE LAMP HAS NO DAMAGE, CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. IT DOES SHOW FLOW LINES IN THE FONT AND AIR BUBBLES. THE LAMP IS 12 INCHES HIGH FROM THE BASE TO THE TOP OF THE COLLAR. THE
