This is a complete Chief Engineer Disneyland Railroad Outfit in its original box. The set includes an oilcan, a pair of gloves, engineer's hat and a bandana. I recently acquired a collection of vintage Disneyana and have been researching much of it for the past several weeks. I not come across any reference to this set, usually only the oil can so this must be very rare. The set was manufactered by L.M. Eddy Manufacturing Co, Inc., Framingham, Mass. Each piece is marked "Cheif Engineer Walt Disney's Disneyland RR". I have tried to detail any inperfections I can find. The box has a one inch tear in the center that was taped from the inside. T are some spots that appear to be old mildew around some of the corners on the lower side of the illustration. The box also has a grease pencil mark of 2.98 and some letters, perhaps the orginal price. The oil can has two pin spots in an even line on one side (caused in shipping?) and two hairline scratches about 1/2 inch long on the direct opposite side. Other than that it is in excellent condition. The gloves have some yellowing on the white cotton portion but again have no signs of wear. The hat also has some faint yellow discoloration on the white ticking of the material. Finally, the hankerchief is in immaculate condition with a wonderful illustration of a train. None of the pieces are torn or have holes. The box is 4x10x10.
