This auction is for the 1996 Portland Press Studio Edition Buttercup Yellow Persian with Red Lip Wrap . As described by Portland Press, this Persian "is a flowerlike form resting on a ball foot, with gently fluted edges and fine lines that spiral precariously around the body". The Persian is approximately 9 x 13 x 10 inches in size.

This Persian was one of the most popular Studio Editions ever produced and is long ago SOLD OUT. It has not been available from Portland Press for several years. The last selling price from Portland Press for this Persian was $5000 and it has certainly appreciated greatly since then.

The Persian is in perfect condition. As shown in the photos it was purchased from the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas in 2002.

The Persian comes with the special Plexiglas Vitrine which is also in perfect condition.

The sculpture also comes with the book Chihuly Persians published by Portland Press. The book is in excellent condition although the dust jacket is in good condition.

Also included is the Polaroid picture taken at the Portland Press Studios and the paper from Portland Press showing that the Persian was billed to the Mirage Hotel.

The Persian, vitrine, etc. will be shipped in the original packaging and boxes from Portland Press.

Buyer to pay actual shipping charge plus insurance. Please note that the Persian and vitrine will be shipped in separate boxes (as they arrived from Portland Press), each of which is approximately 22 x 18 x 18 inches. The Persian is also available for local pick-up with no shipping or handling charge.

If payment is by personal check the Persian will be sent when the check clears.
