This child sized United States Marine Corps uniform was made of a genuine USMC uniform of the early W.W.II period. We believe it was made either just before or in the early years of W.W.II. It is easy to imagine an officer's wife making up this uniform for her son, proud of his father's service. The unusual thing about this uniform is the belt buckle which appears to be an original regulation Model 1851 belt plate. The trousers have the broad red leg stripe, but they do not display well on this frame (the frame is NOT included in this sale). The buttons used on this uniform have the EGA with a small eagle head.We will be listing more historic militaria in the next few days so check our other auctions often. The buyer will pay $14.00 for shipping inside the continental United States.
