Up for auction is a vintage children's tea set and dishes in the Moss Rose pattern. These are dishes like the set I had when I was a child in the 1950's. These dishes were made in Japan and are in excellent condition for their age. I checked each piece carefully and did not find any cracks or chips. The pieces do have a few small minor flaws which look to me like they occurred during manufacturing. I would not call these dishes top grade china as they were meant to be played with by children. Most noteworthy flaw is on the the top of the sugar bowl near w the handle attaches to the bowl. I do not think it detracts from the overall character of this set at all. It will display nicely. The set consists of 6 teacups, 6 saucers, 6 plates, 1 creamer, 1 sugar w/ lid, 1 teapot w/ lid, 1 tureen w/ lid, 1 round platter, 1 oval platter, & 1 salt & pepper.Buyer to pay exact shipping charges once I check with the Post Office after the auction ends. Insurance is required.
