This auction is for the pictured Chilean special forces "Fuerzas Especiales" fighting knife. Known as the Corvo, these have not been seen abroad too often. This is a traditional shape that has been embraced for special military fighting from the earily border wars and remains prominent in the Special Forces logo to this day. This model was used in the 1960's-1970's. 12.5 inches overall length with a 7.5 inch blade. Used and in good condition, the original mate finish is worn brite is some areas, blade is used, not sharpened, no grinde marks, some tarnish and dried grease present, overall pleasing military look. Scabbard and blade are nicely Chilean marked. Composite handle has a hole provision for a short wrist lanyard. Scabbard is unique strong synthetic that clamps the blade inside and is open the entire bottom length for quick removal of the traditional shape. Not seen too often.
