Another detailed sculpted and signed by Don Polland. Entitled "Crazy Horse" it was created in 1991 as part of registered owners western specials and hand signed in 1992. It is 6" high and 7" long on a wood base. This sculpture is in excellent condition, although the wooden base has several dings - please see picture. I have the original box and certificate.It is #1908. This sculpture shows Crazy Horse and his horse in mid stride. The horse appears ready to jump off the wooden base of the statue. It is very detailed, complete with the raised rifle, the rifle case on his back, knife at his waist and shield secured to the saddle. Crazy Horse is probably best known as the chief at the Battle of Little Big Horn against Custer. Soon after a vision,he was given the name Crazy Horse(Tashunca-utico) meaning "enchanted" or "controlled by the spirits". The name had been in his family for generations, but now it was given to the one who his family believed would be the greatest of all.
