Up for sale is a 5-chime step-top steam locomotive whistle. I purchased this whistle off E-bay several weeks ago, but am downsizing my collection and would like to find a good home for it. It is in excellent condition, with no visible dents or cracks, only a few very minor dings, and is ready to blow on steam or air. It has been tested recently on the Wanamaker Kempton & Southern Railroad's steam locomotive #65 (see Youtube video below to hear the results!). Its exact origins are unknown to me, although it does have the number "3801" stamped onto one of the chambers. Included is a fully functional - if somewhat unattractive - homemade lever that can easily be removed or replaced if desired. Overall length is approximately 18.5 inches, with a diameter of 6.5 inches and a 1.5-inch connecting inlet. Shipping is to the U.S. ONLY, and insurance is mandatory. I am selling the whistle as-is, with no returns... so if you have any questions, please be sure to ask before bidding. Reserve price is set reasonably low, and I will consider selling even if it is not met, so BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
