This beautiful cabinet was hand crafted by two German boys in 1933. The boys stayed at St. Vincents orphanage in southern Indiana and made this piece for the dinning room. My grandfather stayed at the orphanage and in 1960, when St. Vincents closed, he purchased the cabinet for $2000.00 and used it in his antique shop for the next 45 years. The cabinet is to large for our home so I am selling it. It is ten feet long, 83'' tall, and 24'' deep. The display case on top is 56'' tall and the bottom has two large cabinets one on each end and 6 drawers in the middle all dovetailed. It is made for solid walnut and plate glass. The display case has several adjustable glass shelves. The entire cabinet is very well constructed, solid, and heavy. It is large enough it could display just about anything. Because of its size it will not be easy to ship, but I will work with the buyer on that part. Contact me if you have any questions. Thanks. I've added some pictures of the drawers and doors so you can see they are constructed very well. The drawer sides are 5/8'' thick and I believe are walnut with a 3/16 solid wood bottom. The raised panels are berel and are 3/16'' thick. The raised pieces are constructed so well I can't tell if they are attached or one piece. Other than the raised pieces possibly being a thick piece of very well attached berel read more
