From a recent trip to a local estate, for your consideration, comes this magnificent China export porcelain hand-painted and decorated buddha. From a collection of Buddhas I have sold. Please take a look at the other Buddha in auction on ebay right now. Ca. 1900, no later than the begining of WWI. As found original and untouched. Enlightening to the eyes. He has a big grin on his face and is most content. In seated position at rest with period relaxed floral garb on and net bag with the days catch most likely in it. The colors are quite nice as well. Rosy red cheeks, lips and florals along with baby blues sunshine yellows and dancing pinks over glazed just off-white porcelain. Very attractive. Measures a nice 8' tall by 6.5" wide by just over 3" deep. Stamped on the bottom, China. Overall condition is excellent with no noticeable cracks, chips or damage other than as can be expected typical age wear. Would make a great accent to your temple or as a piece in your fine collection of asian decorative arts. Good luck and good bidding to you...
