On offer is a very rare and beautiful Chinese 18th century blue and white plate decorated in the center with a frontal phoenix amongst clouds and flowers with the rim decorated with flowers, all in various shades of white and blue against a blue background. It is measured at 20.8 cm in diameter and dated to the Kangxi period with a fine Chenghua six character mark to the base. The conditions is almost perfect with few tiny rim frittings and a faint star crack to the reverse as shown. There are also minor glaze defects to the reverse from production. Further, there are no additional cracks, chips or restorations. Guaranteed genuine and offered with no reserve.
