Old Chinese 19th C. Celadon Nephrite Jade Ruyi Statue Fine Chinese Old 19th C. Nephrite Celadon Jade Ruyi Statue. Carved with a big ruyi tree with branches on it. Besides, it was also carved with a big bat. The craftmanship is very elegant as you can see from the photos. The polish is very nice. The material is very smooth with fine carving on every detail. Ruyi means 'everything goes well' in Chinese culture. Bat has the same pronunciation as the word for 'blessing'. The motif of this jade carving is very auspicious. This item will be a powerful amulet. The condition is old but very good. Width of Jade: 4.5 cm (1.77in), Thickness of Jade: 1.0 cm ( 0.39 in), Lenght of Jade: 12.4 cm (4.88 in) Condition is very good, Nicely hand polished. We ship without stand.
