Chinese 19th C. Qing Era "A Fly on a Horse" Celadon Nephrite Jade Statue with Wood Stand. Up for auction is a very rare beautiful 19th C. Qing dynasty 100% hand carved "A Fly insect on the Back of Horse" statue which is made of 100% genuine natural celadon nephrite jade. The old wood table is in good condition. The front of the statue is very smooth. However, t is rough surface finish on the other side of the statue. Please see pictures for yourself. Why a fly lands on the back of the horse symbolizes "Must Win Now". In Mandarin, "A Fly insect" is pronounced "Yin" which has the very similar pronunciation of "Win". "On the back of Horse" is pronounced very closely as "Ma Shian = Really Now". This is a good fortunate piece which can be a statue on the wood stand or a netsuke to carry wver you would like because t are holes on the front and the rear of the legs of the horse.
