I have been collecting antiques for several reasons. The first lesson I've learned from my very wealthy grand parents that antiquity goes up in value and the longer you keep the higher the value, nevertheless this is not the only reason why, I collect them, they are also pieces of art work, & the beauty, & the history behind it makes it very valuable. Can you imagine some of these items comes from a very wealthy and powerful families such as Emperor or Empress of china, they were kept in their palaces or been touched by them and these items have witnessed the history but unfortunately they cant talk to say what they have seen throughout their life time. Its up to us to do the research and find out the history of these pieces and that's what makes it so interesting & valuabl e.

Can you believe Some of the Chinese masters in fact when they created their pieces of art back in few hundred years ago they could not even get a dollar or two for their art pieces, but today some of the very same items are either priceless or being sold for thousands of dollars if not for millions in auction houses, so that’s where the difference is, when you buy a mass production pieces which in fact as soon as you step out the store the price drops or continue depreciating as oppose to antiques which appreciates more and more in time & throughout the years .

Made out of porcelain. Early Zheng De Reign Ming Dynasty from 1506-1521 A.D.
