You are bidding on a fabulous olderChinese Blue and white Canton charger that measures 14” in diameter. It is hand painted in an shades of blue underglaze with an wonderful landscape scene, that includes a bridge over a river, homes, mountains, rocks, and trees on a lighter bluish-gray ground. The reverse has lovely blue scrolling designs/ The condition is as follows: *Front - has fine surface scratches and brown spots. *Outside rim - one 15/16” thin line rough area *Outside rim – (1) one ¼” red slightly rough to the touch area. * Just below the outside rim – (1) one 7/16” slightly rough to the touch area. *Reverse – brown spots *Reverse – marks from the kiln tool *Reverse – marks from the kiln tool *Reverse – looks like hard glazed sand on base rim and inside base rim wall. Reverse – looks like hard glazed sand on base rim and inside base rim wall. Please see my pictures, as even with its imperfections this Chinese blue and white Canton charger is outstanding dating back to before 1900. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
