OLD HAND CRAFTED CHINESE PORCELAIN BUDDHA STATUE Superb hand crafted altar statue of fine quality and detail. Featuring the seated Buddha clothed in flowing robes. Exquisite both front and back. The figure is seated upon a lotus throne and exhibits a serene countenance, deep in meditation. Exceptional attention to detail in his artistically rendered hair, lifelike posture, and gentle expression. He holds a pagoda which may indicate his role as the healing Medicine Buddha. In excellent vintage condition, dating to mid century, and measuring approximately 11 1/2" tall. Photos cannot capture the overall harmony of this tasteful altar statue, it has a wonderful presence in person.
