This is a rare one of a kind chinese ivory carving. The outside ball has approximately 8 balls (or more) carved inside of it and each ball is independent and moves, One of the balls might be broken it kind of looks like it but I do not know if it supposed to look like that inside or not-hard to tell many of the other ones I see listed have that same look like t is a broken piece inside. The diameter of the outside ball is 2-1/4 inches and the entire piece is approximately 9 inches tall. The base of the pedestal is 2 inches in diameter. The base looks like half bird half fish in my opion.Very unusual.It has a tall peacock style bird with the liitle feet carved out and everything-and the face looks like a fish!Weird! This piece is over 50 years old I know that much-it has been passed down from family to family.The long pole on the pedastal unscrews too.Very nice piece in great condition. NO RESERVE AS ALWAYS!! Insurance and delivery confirmation are included in the shipping price.I will pack very very carefully. Sorry I do not ship outside of the USA.
