I mentioned in a previous listing that a friend gave me a few pieces from her decades-old collection. This example presents a polished stone of lapis lazuli in a shape reminiscent of a shield or a coat-of-arms, but of course you may see something different. Note the artisan's masterful work with the filigreed design in a gilded silver setting, with blue enameling just subdued enough to enhance the lapis . I see some matrix highlighting the stone as well. Hopefully you can see the silver mark on the underside, as in frame #6. The catch works great. I can ship this for $3.75 and it doesn't cost any extra shipping to take another piece of jewelry as offered in others of my auctions at this time. We will soon be listing more rings, pendants, earrings and the like, so stay tuned.
